Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Gregory Lee Goodbar, age 44

Gregory Lee Goodbar, of Austin, Arkansas, born September 25, 1978, departed this world May 25, 2023, leaving behind his wife Amber, 7-year-old twins Kyle and Lacy, 19-year-old son Finn, his mother Ena and brother Marc, and many friends and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Hilda and Robert Nord and Mary and Fritz Goodbar; his Father Fritz Goodbar; his siblings Baby Goodbar and Hilary Goodbar; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Greg Goodbar had a laugh and smile that would light up a room; and a big heart that loved so strong.  He was a lover of the outdoors, and his most favorite of all outdoor activities was to duck hunt. That was his happy place. The only thing he may have loved more than duck hunting would have been Amber, Finn, Kyle and Lacy. Greg was a father, a friend, and a brother and he will be truly missed by all.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 6:00pm with the Rosary starting at 7:00pm. Mass will follow on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 11:00am. Visitation and services will be held at St. Jude’s the Apostle Catholic Church; 2403 McArthur Drive, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076.

In replacement of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude’s PRE.

Greg loved being a Husband and a Father and Family Man.
I have no doubts that Hilda Nord was first in line to Greet her handsome grandson and Hug his neck and kiss his Brow.
How Proud Hilda was of Greg and of his Mother and her daughter Ena Nord Goodbar who did a wonderful job of raising Greg to be a strong man; A Leader. An Educated Man Who NEVER stopped Learning and loved sharing with his family. His example as a Christian influenced his Children even in his last days.
His beloved wife and his Mother were with Greg and grief his loss but know his freedom from Pain, Doctorsand Nurses is
God’s Peace bestowed upon his exhausted Mortal Body and
his Spiritual Body is Blessed and Rewarded in Heaven.
