Mattie Jane Cotton, age 76

Mattie Jane Cotton, age 76, of Cabot, Arkansas went to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, May 19, 2023. She was born in Warren, Arkansas on May 17, 1947 to the late William Arvel and Letha Blanche Johnston.

Mattie is also preceded in death by her brother Willie John Johnston, and 6 sisters: Erma Jean Johnston, Wilma Dean Gasch, Glenda Ann Roachell, Reba Sue Johnston, Shirley Faye Johnston and Deborah Kay Polk

She is survived by her brother Charles Everette Johnston of Rustin, LA, and sister; Verna Mae Hunter of Warren. Her 3 sons Michael Harold Cotton (Tiffany) of Cabot, William Aaron Cotton (Brandi) of Arkadelphia, and James Leslie Cotton (Leslie) of Jacksonville along with 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Mattie retired after working with the Arkansas Democrat Gazette for over 30 years as a Mailroom supervisor.

A Celebration of Life will be held on
Friday, May 26th from 6pm to 8pm at: ABC Arkansas, 6 Collins Industrial Place, North Little Rock, Arkansas, 72113

    Sincere condolences to the family. I am so very sorry for your loss.  May God provide the necessary peace and comfort to your family and friends during this difficult time.
