Terry Dale Skinner, 73, of Denmark, formerly North Little Rock, passed away Saturday morning, May 27, 2023 with his daughter by his side at Unity Hospital in Searcy. He was born November 29, 1949 to George Skinner and Freda Fowler Skinner Barnett in McCrory, Arkansas.
Terry enjoyed life to the fullest, he worked hard and played hard. He enjoyed his time on bowling leagues, pool leagues, fishing, hunting, annual float trips with his brothers, inventing, family get-togethers, sitting around a fire and having a cold beer at the end of the workday. It’s been said more than once that Terry was truly “One of a kind”. His world became much slower after a stroke three years ago, but he still had big dreams of traveling Route 66 and would talk for hours about his escapades in this life.
Terry was preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers, Ricky Skinner of Concord and Timmy Skinner of Bradford and sister, Sheila Skinner of Bradford.
He is survived by his daughters, Tracy (Joe) Garner of Cabot, Brandi Skinner of Whitesboro, New Jersey; sons, Terry Lingo of Green Forest and Michael Lingo of Texarkana; grandchildren, Jackson (Camille) Boyd of Cabot, Morgan Mead of Cabot, Jaslyn Harris and Lucas Warner; mother, Louise “Peanut” Skinner; special uncle Bill (Carolyn) Skinner; siblings, Dwayne Skinner, Jimmy Skinner, Pam Heil, Randy Skinner, Cheryl Skinner, Jerry Skinner, Carl Skinner, Tina Osborn, Paul Skinner and Krissie Skinner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 11:00am with a graveside service to follow at 12:00pm at Goad Cemetery in Bradford, Arkansas.
Arrangements by A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400. Online guestbook available at www.anaturalstatefuneralservice.com
