Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Jason Aaron Marchant, age 46

Jason Aaron Marchant, 46, of Mt Vernon, Arkansas gained his wings on June 25,2023. He was born the first of two sons to Larry Marchant and Deborah Cellars-Marchant on September 1,1976.

Jason was a man of many traits. He was stubborn, sarcastic, funny, witty, caring, compassionate, understanding, and smart. He challenged himself with crossword and sudoku puzzles. He enjoyed his trucks, riding four-wheelers, swimming, drawing, studying numerology, as well as other extracurricular activities.

Jason had a huge heart and always had an open door to anyone who needed a friend, a meal, a bed, advice, or anyone who would bring him a bottle. Kojack, Sarge, and Blue were the stars of Jason’s life. He loved those dogs as much as he loved anything else in this world. Jason worked in the family cabinet shop after graduation from Rose Bud High School. He drove a big truck until he lost his leg in a four-wheeler accident. He launched a career in sales after the accident.

Jason wanted someone to share his life with who would leave him alone most of the time, which is probably why he married Amanda Jackson in 2009. He once said “you know that feeling when meet someone and your heart skips a beat? Well, that’s arrhythmia and you can die from that!” Jason ultimately passed as a result of being stubborn, refusing to follow the doctor’s (or anyone’s) orders, and raising cain for over four decades.

Jason was loved, praised, hated, and cursed by relatives and friends alike. If you know Jason, then you know giving his Momma a hard time already!

Jason will be cremated (his last chance at a smoking hot body). There will be a pity Party (Jason’s words not mine) held at Rose Bud Community Center on July 23, 2023, from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. Please bring pictures, memories, and refreshments you want to share. Donations will be accepted in lieu of flowers toward the purchase of a headstone.

Jason is survived by his wife Amanda of Rose Bud, Arkansas; his stepchildren Austin and Autumn Jackson of Rose Bud, Arkansas; his grandson Lucas Wheaton; his father Larry Marchant of Benton, Arkansas; his brother Jeremy Marchant of Ward, Arkansas; his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; his mother Deborah K Cellars-Marchant; and Kojack and Sarge his best friends.
