Margaret Florece Wheelington, age 84

Margaret Florece Wheelington, 84, of El Dorado, Arkansas, passed from this earth on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.

Margaret was born on January 2, 1939, in Wesson, Arkansas. She was a lifelong resident of South Arkansas. She worked at Cooper Tire and retired as a bus driver for the Harmony Grove School District in Camden, where she received a special commendation for saving the life of a child.

Florece sold Avon for nearly fifteen years and loved to go thrift shopping, listen to Southern Gospel music, and watch any movie starring John Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Pearlie Wynn; brother, Daniel Wynn; son, Jimmy Dale Ables; and great-grandson, Tyler Scott Ables.

Survivors are her son, Rev. Lynn Ables (Sandy) of El Dorado; grandsons Daniel Ables (Barbi) of El Dorado, Jonathan Ables (Emily) of Calhoun, LA, and Braden Ables of Dallas, TX; and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cullendale Assembly of God. A celebration of life will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Cullendale Assembly of God Church, located at 3250 Cash Rd. SW in Camden, AR, with Rev. Scott Knight officiating.
