Patricia Joe Lohr, age 64

Patricia Joe Lohr, beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and grace. She was born on August 4, 1958, in Gideon, Missouri to Robert E. Lee Slaughter and Lona Mae Langley Slaughter (Simmons).

Patricia was a veteran of the United States Army where she served her country with honor. After her service Patricia embarked on a nursing career that spanned over 30+ years where she worked tirelessly to care for her patients. Outside of work, Patricia had many interests and hobbies such as fishing, going to yard sales, and most of all spending time with her family whom she loved deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Beulah “Judy” Coble and brother Buford “Bud” Slaughter. She is survived by her children Kevin Lohr and Deborah Walker, along with her brother Wayne Slaughter, son-in-law Alex Walker, nieces Sharon “Ann” Flowers, Eva Johnson, Debbie Jackson, and Regina Coble, as well as a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 2-4 pm at A Natural State in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Her family requests in lieu of flowers to make a donation to the American Cancer Society.

Patricia’s departure leaves an indescribable void in the lives of those who knew her best. She will be fondly remembered as a compassionate and kind spirit; a beacon of light in the world. Her memory will forever inspire us to live each day with purpose, embrace new experiences, and foster kindness in the world.

    Pat and I were Best friends ! Been friends since we were young. Growing up lived next door . She was in my wedding. Stayed best friends around 55 years ! My heart is broken but I have some many memories of us . Loved her
