Brian Morgan Sherrod, II, 45, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away Friday, July 21, 2023. He was born February 7, 1978, in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Brian was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Floyd and Betty Sherrod, maternal grandfather Troy Weatherly, father Brian Sherrod, brother Cory Johnson, and beloved fur babies Ginger and Odin.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Amber Masters Sherrod; their girls, Emma and Ava; his mother, Mary (John) Rohde; stepmother Tamie Sherrod; grandmother Hazel Weatherley; three sisters, Amanda (Jason) Howard, Nina Sherrod, and Brittany (Justin) Moody; his fur and feather babies; four nieces, two nephews, along with aunts, uncles, cousins and an abundance of extended family and friends.
Anyone who knew Brian knew he attacked life at full speed and would fight for those he loved. Did that mean he also fought the ones he loved? Oh, yes. But once Brian loved you, he always loved you. Once you earned his respect, it was deep and lifelong. Brian was very intelligent and saw life with clear eyes. That meant he saw the bad as well, but his intellect gave him the ability to know what made him happy and how to get it, and he went for it.
One of the things that made Brian happy was his animals. He usually had a small menagerie of dogs, birds, and lizards at home. He was also an avid gamer who loved to show you his gaming setup of computers, monitors, lights, and sound systems. He would admit to staying up almost all night playing and smack-talking the younger players. He was a science fiction fan and loved Star Trek and Star Wars.
Most who knew Brian can remember loads of times he made you laugh, at and with him. (Anyone who remembers the music video he made as a teenager should be smiling right now.) One niece describes him as ‘funcle’, for fun uncle. Others describe him as the life of the party.
Brian had a few career interests. He was in the Army Reserves right out of high school and in sales for a time. He found his home as an electrician in the early 2000s. In recent years, Brian established a career as a Master Electrician, owning his own business, Cypress Electric, and marrying his wonderful wife Amber, who provided him even more joy with two precious girls, Emma and Ava.
When asked for words that describe Brian best, these were given:
Fighter
Animal lover
Intelligent
Fiery
Resilient
Comical
Impatient
Stubborn
Sweet
Caring
The one which might best describe Brian’s spirit is whole-hearted. Anything Brian approached, his animals, his career, his fun, and his loves, was done with his entire heart. No in-between.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 25th at Victory Baptist Church located at 501 N Lincoln St., Cabot, AR 72023. Visitation starts at 10:00 am. Service starts at 11:00 am.
Arrangements by A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400. Online guestbook available at www.anaturalstatefuneralservice.com

To Amber and Amanda I would like to send my deepest condolences just from the short amount of time I knew Mr. Sherrod I could see how loved he was by family and had an AMAZING support system. He didn’t say much, but he was able to tell me “Call Amber”. To Amber I’m sending you a special prayer I saw how hard you fought for him in his last few days and I promise you he knew it. The Bible you brought to his room please read this amongst other verses Matthew 5:4.

Sincere condolences to the family. I am so very sorry for your loss. May God provide the necessary peace and comfort to your family and friends during this difficult time. Please remember these words of encouragement from the Bible: “ Jesus plainly told her: “I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” —John 11:20-25.
I was just getting back to working with Brian in last few months. He was the same Brian that I knew twenty years ago. I’m sorry for the loss of a respected friend and electrical brother. Brian you will be missed!
We are so sorry to hear about Brian’s passing. We know he was loved and loved others. We wish his family peace during this time.
