David Mitchell Carpenter, age 71

David Mitchell Carpenter, age 71, of Letona, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. He was born in Jackson, Mississippi on December 5, 1951 to the late Albert Carpenter and Martha Bennett.

David married the love of his life, Sharon, on October 5, 1992. He was a very loving husband. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and fast cars. He proudly served in the United States Navy where he worked as a welder.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brother Eugene Houston and his sister Ernestine Houston Garza.

He leaves behind his wife Sharon Carpenter; children Jason Jones (Audra) of Searcy; Kelli Jones (Jeremy) of Searcy; Lynsey Carpenter (Chris) of Pangburn; five grandchildren Gracen, Cooper, Talyn, Avyn, and Lincoln; two brothers Dalton Houston and Phil Phillips; nephew Danny Moore (Karen); great-nephew Jason Moore (Patti); and a host of extended family and friends.

A family-hosted memorial service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Pickens Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Pickens Chapel, Arkansas.
