Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Dorian “Dory” Michelle McCormack Bell, age 48

Dorian “Dory” Michelle McCormack Bell died at her home in Memphis, Tennessee on July 2nd. She was 48 years old.  She was born on May 17, 1975 at Monroe, Louisiana.  She graduated from North Little Rock High School.  She graduated with honors from the University of Central Arkansas, Conway.  She leaves behind her parents, Paul and Linda McCormack and Sara Caroline McAlister; beloved sister, Madison; nephew, Isaac; husband, Ricky Bell and many relatives and friends as well as her canine kids.

Dory never met a dog she didn’t want to bring home or a lizard, snake, or rat that she knew would make a good pet. She was an avid writer of poetry, a spinner of stories, and a believer in “happily ever after.”  Some of her favorite memories were made at the Florida beach with her sister, Madison, and parents, Paul and Linda.  She loved fishing and collecting driftwood on the Mississippi River with husband, Ricky, and shooting fireworks in Indian Hills with her mother, Sara Caroline, and a gang of neighborhood kids.

Dory was very special to anyone who had the blessing of being part of her world.  Her heart was big, and that never changed during her life.

In lieu of flowers, send donations to North Little Rock Friends of Animals; #1 Championship Drive, North Little Rock, AR  72116.

Dorian, I remember you as a child and young girl. You were always the sweetest, most fun little girl, a beautiful child. As life happened and we lost contact, you were still often in my thoughts. I hope you know how much you were loved and I hope that you found peace. Love to you. You were a gift to this world.
