Gregory Wayne Vaughan, age 61

Gregory Wayne Vaughan, age 61, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023. He was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on March 16, 1962 to the late Willis Gene Vaughan SR and Jeanette Marie Smith.

Gregory loved spending time with his only child, Samantha. His daughter was his best friend. He was a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinal’s baseball games and Arkansas Razorback football games. In his early years, Gregory enjoyed fishing, having fish fry’s and hanging out with his friends.

In addition to his parents, Gregory is preceded in death by his nephew Cory Vaughan and his best friend Billy Mosley.

He leaves behind his daughter Samantha Vaughan Strong and her husband Michael Strong; grandchildren Lynnli-Sue Strong, Danny Strong, and Harlie-Ann Strong; sister Darlene Holmes and her husband David Holmes; brother Gene Vaughan JR; nieces Stephanie Paul and Denise Holmes; nephew Drew Holmes; great-nieces Kallie New and Kori Parker; uncles Terry Smith and Dale Smith; aunt Becky Bar; and many more friends and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 2:00pm with a casual celebration of life starting at 2:30pm in the chapel of A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas.

    So sad about this. He was such a great person & nephew (he loved his late cousin, Dane,& loved for him to come & stay with them). His life is a void in ours. My prayers go out for this sweet family. Will miss him, love, Aunt Punkin
