Jeffrey Maddox Turner, age 54, of Cabot, went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2023, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 19, 1968;
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Meredith Wilkins Turner; his Father, Jim Turner; Sisters, Leigh Turner Cantrell (Kyle) and Paige Turner; Nephew, Turner Cantrell. Father-in-law Dennis Wilkins; Mother-in-law, Marsha Wilkins, Aunts; Alice Forester (Carl), Ivy Trovas (Chris), Linda McGivney (Cary), Nan Ballenger (Robert), and many cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his Mother, Catherine Marice “Reecy” Turner, Aunts: Pat McQueen and Jane Chesnut.
Jeff was raised in Marietta and Alpharetta, Georgia. Jeff was a true child of the Seventies and loved all things with wheels – big wheels, skateboards, go-carts, and motorcycles. There wasn’t a ramp built that he wouldn’t jump, which resulted in great fun for his friends and a few broken bones.
At 18, he moved to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, to live with his Aunt Alice and Uncle Carl. While there, he
learned to work with farm equipment such as tractors, mowers, and bush hogs. Over the years, he developed an interest in working with heavy equipment and worked with various companies building roads and subdivisions.
In 1989, Jeff moved to Hilton Head, South Carolina, where he worked as a window washer on high-rise buildings before finding employment in the construction business.
While working at Sun City Hilton Head, he met Meredith Wilkins, who became his wife on October 19, 1996. He and Meredith moved to Cabot, Arkansas, in 2011. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 11AM.
