Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Marilyn Sue Duty, age 80

Marilyn Sue Duty was born on February 22, 1943 to Jesse and Sue Huffman in Fort Worth, Texas. She passed away and took her “free ride” on July 10, 2023. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Duty, her granddaughter, Lacey Carmical, her brother, Jesse Huffman, and her sister, Shirley Scott.

Marilyn was quick-witted and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved to grow flowers but may have enjoyed talking and sharing stories more than anything! Marilyn spent several years as a volunteer EMT for the North Pulaski Ambulance Service. She retired from the Arkansas Department of Health where she worked as a night dispatcher.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Doug Duty (Robyn) and daughter Joanne Martin (Richard). Her surviving grandchildren are Beau Duty (Elizabeth and children: Winston and Clayton), Taylar Duty (Phillip Dawson and children: Avery, Riplee, Joey), Kyle Duty (Jessica and children: Mason, Brayden, Brantlee, Hancel, Bella, Beckett, Nolan), Ava Curran, Colton Duty (Haley) and Falon Duty.

A memorial service will be held at the First Pentecostal Church of North Little Rock at 5pm on Saturday, July 15th.

I always loved being around my Aunt Marilyn. She was always so much fun to be around and I loved hearing about all her stories. I regret not getting to see her in later years. She was one of a kind and I loved her very much!
Prayers for comfort to my cousins and their families. Love to all!
