Mary Ruth McCorkle, age 83, of Greenbrier, Arkansas passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 29, 1939 to the late James Dewey Duffy and Eleanor Ruth White-Duffy.
Mary was a truck driver and loved being on the road. She enjoyed camping, boating, and bowling. She also enjoyed planting flowers and gardening. More than anything, Mary loved her kids and her grandkids.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her life partner Harry Hewitt and her siblings Ida, Gale, Patricia, and Jack.
She leaves behind her children Cary James McCorkle (Brenda), Debra Lynn Davis (Bill), Alana Jean Fidler (Dave), Tricia Ann McCorkle, Angela Joy Miller (Larry); grandchildren Shawn, Timothy, Jennifer, Jessica, Billy, Spring, Christa, Summer, Jason, Blake, Bryan, Melissa, Amber; great-grandchildren Haley, Tanner, Gracie, Jajly, Riley, Sayra, Remmington, Elise, Skylar, Gavin, Jensen, Elliejo, Kaleb, Kylie, Caitlyn, Dallas, Alyson, Emmarey; siblings Sarah, Kathy, Dale, Mike, Brenda; Stephanie Fielder and her two children; Amanda Clark and her son; and a host of extended family.
A family-hosted memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 3:00-5:00pm at Herschel Hall in Greenbrier, Arkansas off Hwy 65.
