Michael Travis Stearns, age 63, of Ward, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023. He was born in Newport, Arkansas on April 24, 1960 to the late Emmett Stearns and Fay Elizabeth Black-Stearns.
Michael proudly served in the US Navy from 1980-1984 in Miramar San Diego where he worked on fighter pilot jets. He also worked for Falcon Jet for 22 years. Michael enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, driving his 18-wheeler, and golfing. He loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed being on the water. Above all, Michael loved spending time with his family, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Michael leaves behind his wife Rhonda Stearns; his children Lauren Carek (Rodolfo) and Kelly Conley (Todd), Christopher Stearns, Amanda Stearns-Rhoades, Jonathon Stearns; grandchildren Gage, Riahna, Bennett, and Collins; sister Debbie Aneslmi and her children; his brother Dennis Stearns (Julie); nieces Edie Bartle and Marlee Bartle; mother-in-law Mary Lake-Flack; and sisters-in-law Sandra Lake (Betty Light) and Suzanne Bartle (Nate).
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to A Natural State Funeral Service to help the family pay for Michael’s arrangements.

Had many conversations with Mike at Falcon Jet. Most conversations started with his saying “I’ll tell you what” with an explanation or story to follow. He was definitely one of the good guys I worked with.
