Cecil Larance Keister, 71, of Jacksonville went to be with the Lord August 19, 2023. Cecil was born May 8, 1952 to the late Harley E. Keister Sr. and Marie C. Farris Keister.

During his working years, he worked for Cummings Diesel Co. He drove heavy farm equipment for local farmers. He worked as a shuttle driver for Union Pacific. He loved spending time with his family and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Celil is preceded in death by his siblings Harley “Sonny” Keister Jr, Clarence David Keister, Harold Lee Keister, Faye Keister Hayne Little, Hazel Keister Wylie and his significant other Stephanie Thomas.

Left to cherish his memory and miss him dearly is his son Cecil Ray Keister and wife Trish; grandchildren Donna and Brett Keister; sister Patsy Keister Buchanan Hall and husband Vernon Hall; niece Becky Holley and nephew Clay Keister; and other family members and friends.

Per his wishes, no services will be held at this time.
