Garry Douglas Williams, age 74, of Searcy, Arkansas passed away on August 25, 2023. He was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on August 31, 1948 to the late Ian Douglas Williams and Margaret Russell Williams.
Garry was a Senior Engineer and Private Consultant for Laser Optics. This career was all self-taught, he learned a lot from his father. He ended up starting up his own consulting business where companies would seek him out for his vast knowledge and understanding in this field. He traveled all over the world as a private consultant.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, great-grandfather, and friend. He will truly be missed by those who loved and cherished him. Garry loved nature, photography, fishing, grilling, and baking sourdough most recently. He loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Garry is preceded in death by his brother Glenn Williams.
He leaves behind his wife Susan Williams; children Garry Williams Jr, Lyndsey Duddles, and Christy Coleman; grandchildren Baylee Arambula, McKenzie Williams, Maddisyn Duddles, Austin Duddles, Garrett Coleman, Easton Coleman; great-grandchildren Brooklyn Arambula and Lane Arambula; brother Gordon Williams; and many more friends and extended family.

My sincere condolences to your family. I had the opportunity to meet this kind and gentle soul. He was an amazing man. He treated everyone like a friend even if it was his first time meeting you. He always had a smile on his face. His love for his children and grandchild was very apparent. Garry and I mentored each other for many years and I learned so much from this man not only as a professional but as a friend I never had a brother but I can truly say Garry a d I were brothers.
