Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Georgia Kay Collins, age 71

Georgia Kay Collins, 71, of Sherwood, Arkansas was called upon to enter the spiritual world on August 9, 2023. She was born May 7, 1952 in Malvern, Arkansas.

She grew up in North Little Rock and was a graduate of Ole Main High School. In high school she was in the band and that’s where her love of music began to blossom. Georgia was a free spirit who never met a stranger. She was a kind hearted person who would do anything for anyone. She was a unique woman that always put others above and beyond her own needs. She was a gypsy at heart who enjoyed traveling to new places and meeting new individuals.  Her heart was pure and she was the best mother, grandmother and friend. As her spirit sores in the afterlife, she will always be near us to watch over and guide us. Her presence will always be with us, and we will never forget how much joy and love she brought into our lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents Curtis Milford Collins and Hazel Lee Collins. Grieving family members she left behind are:  Daughter, Christi Walls of Sherwood; Granddaughter, Heather Walls of Sherwood; Granddaughter, Hayley Walls of Sherwood; Grandson-In-Law, Gabe Jewett of Sherwood; and Grandson, Christopher Smith of Sherwood.

Fly high Mom. Fly high Memaw. You will forever be in our hearts and in our souls. You taught us so much and we will never forget you and we will always celebrate you. We love and miss you dearly.  When dragon flies and butterflies descend on us, we will feel your presence watching over us.

I’m sorry to hear this. Kay grew up down the street from me on Sunset Dr. I remember the first day she came to school. I believe we were riding the bus home and I ran inside the house and told my mom there was the cutest new girl. She was a sweet friend. I know she’ll be missed by all who loved her. RIP Kay 🩷
