It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Hester Marie Logan, a remarkable woman whose life was a tapestry of spirited joy, thoughtful kindness, loyal love, and supportive care. Born on the 14th of July 1949, in West Memphis, AR, USA, Hester Marie’s life was an inspiring journey spanning 74 vibrant years. She passed away on the 7th of August 2023, leaving a void that will be impossible to fill.

Hester Marie was a woman of many talents and interests, but her true passion lay in the simple joys of life. She found happiness in the rustle of leaves on a fishing trip, the warmth of the sun on her skin during an outdoor adventure, and the wagging tails of her beloved dogs, Bogie, Spanky, and Willow. She served the community with her heart and soul in her role as a waitress and was a beacon of customer service. Her life in West Memphis and Brinkley was a testament to her love for her roots and her dedication to her community.

Her strength and resilience were admirable, a trait she showcased throughout her life and during her marriage. Her legacy is carried on by her surviving son, Joey Cummings, and her grandchildren, Bridget Williams, and Cesley Williams. The joy in her eyes was unmistakable when she spent time with her great-grandchildren, Davina Mendez, Benjamin Mendez, and Lume Elizondo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Logan and Mable McDowell, her sisters, Lee Reynolds, Sue Waren, Ann Ruden, Carolyn Davidson, her son, Johnny Cummings, and her infant triplets.

Hester Marie’s life was a beacon of love and warmth, and her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her. Her spirit will continue to inspire, and her memory will serve as a comforting blanket on chilly nights.  Let’s remember her not for her departure but for the beautiful journey of life that she so passionately embraced. She was not just a statistic or a name; she was Hester Marie, a woman whose life was a melody of love, compassion, resilience, and joy.
