Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

James Donnie Horne, age 81

James Donnie Horne, age 81, went to be with Jesus on August 6, 2023.  He was born November 23, 1941 in Miami, Florida to Ralph and Annie Horne.

He is survived by his wife Mary, two children Derrick and Karen, all of El Paso.

James is preceded in death by his mother, Annie May, his father Ralph Francis and his five siblings.

“Don” or “Jim”, as he was so lovingly called by his family and friends, loved spending his time at the lake or at the ocean.  He taught all the kids to water ski and swim while enjoying their company.  He never met a stranger and when he loved you, it was for life.  James enjoyed telling stories and tall tales to everyone and they always enjoyed hearing them.  He loved to laugh and to make people  laugh and it would brighten his day by telling  you how loved you were by him and Jesus.  His favorite thing to say was “Who loves you” and he would take that time to tell you about Jesus.  We are so happy to know we will all see him again one day in Heaven, but his earthly presence will be missed.  We can all honor him by loving a little stronger.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas.

Arrangements by A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400. Online guestbook available at www.anaturalstatefuneralservice.com
