James Randall Ryan “Randy”, age 67, of Austin, departed this life peacefully to join his Savior on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. He was born September 14, 1955 to JA and JoAnn Ryan of Cabot, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, JA and JoAnn Ryan, and his beloved wife, Brenda Ryan.
He leaves behind two daughters, Miranda Rogers (John) and Angela Ryan; granddaughters, Lainey and Myleigh Rogers; grandsons, Bryce Ryan and James Rogers; a brother, John Ryan (Carey); two sisters, Debbie Ryan and Allison James (Greg); nieces and nephews, Matthew Overturf, Kolt Champlin, Katie Overturf, Taylor Champlin, Paige Soderlund, Taylor James, Aidyn Overturf, and Amelia Overturf; and a large extended church and city family.
Randy was a retired master plumber and lifelong member of Austin Station Baptist Church. He was on the Austin Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years and served on Austin City Council for over 25 years. He enjoyed his retirement years spending time with his family and loving on his grandchildren who he adored.
The family would like to extended a special thank you to Dr. Rasheed and the staff at Jacksonville Davita especially Terry, Victoria, and Cheryl.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 5:00-7:00pm at Austin Station Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held the following day Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 10:00am at Austin Station Baptist Church; 105 N 2nd Street, Austin, Arkansas.
