Amy D. Chatwood, age 55

Amy D. Chatwood, a resident of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on 09/19/2023 at the age of 55.

Born in Pensacola,FL on April 18th, 1968 to Raymond and Inez, she grew up in the Montclair neighborhood within Pensacola, FL. She graduated from Pensacola High School in 1986 and was active in the band. She went on to attend University of West Florida obtaining a B.S. in Information Systems and Business Management. She graduated from UWF in 1990. She worked within the IT field in a variety of positions and companies over the years. At the time of her passing she was working for the state of Arkansas Department of Health and was a state employee for a period of 6 years.

In 2021, she and Chris Chatwood divorced after 20 years of marriage. They remained close friends and he was her caretaker more recently. Her family and friends were the joy of her life. She was so proud of her children and the adults they have become.

Amy Diane Chatwood was known for her love of people, animals of all kinds!. She enjoyed the beach, boating, fishing and reading. She was crafty and enjoyed scrapbooking for many years. She will be remembered for her kind loving spirit, the ability to accept people of all types for who they are. She was a great listener, friend and parent! Her bubbly personality and quick smile were uplifting to all who truly knew her!

Amy D. Chatwood is survived by her son-Joshua G. Scoggins (35), daughter Heather N. Scoggins (31), and youngest son Raymond M. Chatwood (19) and grandson Aden G. Scoggins (9).

She is also survived by two brothers Donnie and Ronnie, who currently reside in Florida.

There is no planned viewing or visitation, nor is a public service planned.

The family will be traveling to Arkansas for an intimate ceremony in her favorite spot. They all will return home to Pensacola, Florida with her ashes.

    I am so sorry I didn’t get the chance to reconnect with you. I will forever cherish the memories of us growing up as kids. You were always a wonderful person and such a loving aunt. Thank you for being part of my family.

    We went to high school together. She was such a sweet girl, when I knew her. I’m so sorry to hear that she has passed. Hang a left! She would’ve remembered and laughed at that joke!
