He attended Crosspoint Ministries Church in Beebe, Arkansas. James worked at the Arkansas State Crime Lab for many years, and he was a licensed funeral director for a very long time.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his sister Marcia Jean Cheatham.
He leaves behind his brother Boyd Overton; cousin Bo Hines; and many more beloved friends and extended family.
A family hosted memorial service will be held in James’s honor on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at 3:00pm at Crosspoint Ministries Church; 805 Hwy 64 W, Beebe, Arkansas.
