JOHN “HOWARD” HAMAKER, 76, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away surrounded by his loving family on August 27, 2023. Howard was born in Magnolia, Arkansas on February 16, 1947.
He was a wonderful father and loving grandpa. He worked hard and played hard. He was machinist and later in his career owned a machine shop until he retired. Howard married the love of his life, Patricia “Tyson” Hamaker, on July 14, 1990, and the two spent many happy years cruising the waters of Lake Conroe together with their family and friends. In addition to his love of the lake, Howard relished time spent with his children and grandchildren. He believed in making the most of everyday and every moment.
Howard is preceded in death by his loving wife Pat, his parents, Otha Hamaker and (step mother) Margie Hamaker and mother Louise Nelson and his son Beau Hamaker. He is survived by his son Bryan Hamaker, his wife Kim, and children Breanna, Bryley, Bryson, and Brody of Cabot, Arkansas; Daughter Stacey Hamaker Franks her husband Brett and her children Austin, Alexus, Abby, and Ayden of Ward, Arkansas; and son Heath Hamaker, his wife Stacy, and children Emma and Payslie of Trinidad, Texas; stepson Bill Cruise, his wife Sarah, and children Bryce and Hollis of Houston; Stepson Rob Cruise, his wife Tammi, and children Reagan, Gracie, and RJ of Tomball, Texas; his sister Malynda Sartin and Husband Gary and brother in-law; Jimmy Tyson and wife Carol of Deltona, Florida.
His silly sense of humor and cheer will be missed by many other family members and friends.
A family-hosted memorial service will be held on September 9, 2023 at 2:00pm at Houston Northwest Church;19911 State Hwy 249, Houston, TX 77070.

Howie – I can’t tell you how much you will be missed! We have so many wonderful memories of having you as a neighbor and then all the years of good times shared on Lake Conroe. Of course we will never forgot the Mexico trip for Sandy’s 40h birthday where we all had the best time ever! Too many wonderful memories to count. We will always love you – you are always in our hearts! I’m happy your with Pat now – cruising the big pontoon boat in the sky! We love you both! You made everyday an adventure and a party! We love you so much! RIP my dear sweet friend!
