Leora Barnes, age 61, of Lonoke, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. She was born to the late Claude Barnes and Billie Maxine DeShazer Barnes on October 13, 1961.
She leaves behind her husband of 28 years Dale Dixon of Lonoke, Arkansas; son Matthew C. Dixon (Ellysa) of Minot, North Dakota; daughter Gabrielle Dixon of Lonoke, Arkansas; son William Barnes of Jacksonville, Arkansas; grandson Milo Dixon; granddaughters Josie Elizabeth Barnes and Logan Ann Barnes; sister Helen Kay Thompson of Lonoke; brother Michael S. Barnes (Mariella) of Kansas City, Missouri; along with a host of extended family and friends.
Leora was a faithful member of Panola Missionary Baptist Church in Lonoke, Arkansas.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 11:00am at Panola Missionary Baptist Church; 972 S. Kerr Rd, Lonoke, Arkansas. Interment to follow at Arkansas State Veteran’s Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
