Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Linda Gail Rolf, age 79

Linda Gail Rolf, age 79, of Searcy, Arkansas entered the Gates of Glory to her eternal life September 25, 2023. She was born September 16, 1944 in DeQueen, Arkansas to Beulah Faye Parish Jones. Suspected father was Chester Vernon Owens. She is preceded in death by her mother Beulah Faye Jones, Stepfather John David Jones and a brother David Wayne Jones.

She is survived by her only child a daughter Shawn Marie (Kenneth) Mashburn, a brother Danny Ray Jones from Fort Worth, TX, eight grandchildren that she loved dearly and whole heartedly, John Devin (Shein) Runnels from Guagua, Philippines, Christopher Dewayne (Nicole) Runnels from DeKalb, TX, Curtis Lynn (Ashley) Runnels from Ward, AR, Andrew Mashburn (MaKenzie McCall) from Ward, AR, Autumn (Zachary) Marrow from Nashville, AR. Brittany (Josh) Galloway from Beebe, AR, Lindsey (Shelby) Cannon from Little Rock, AR, Abbigail (Tyler) Jackson from Prescott, AR., one niece Melissa (David) Rayburn.

She also leaves behind nine great granddaughters Whitney Runnels, Haven and Haddie Runnels, Kayleigh Runnels, AnnaMarie and Kennady Galloway, Josephine Mashburn, Avie and Daisy Jackson and many more that called her Grandma Linda from days of working in the Grandparent program in Searcy and Kensett, AR.

She had gone to cosmetology college but never graduated due to circumstances that were unforeseen. Worked in early years at Timex in Little Rock and many other factories later in life. Then she found the love of caring for the elderly as a CNA at Nashville Nursing Home Nashville, AR and then working with Home Health Care including when she moved to Searcy. Before completely retiring she worked as a foster grandparent in Searcy and Kensett.  She loved being surrounded by children as she had a child at heart attitude with all she done.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren as often as she could. As well as spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed going to church, shopping, social events, TV watching, and reading occasionally. She especially enjoyed getting together for holidays. She would dress up at Halloween as a clown or a silly witch and won a couple of contests among her senior friends.

She is no longer suffering and we are so grateful for that, but will be missed so much by so many. What few of us at the hospital were very fortunate to be with her at her bedside when she left us.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 10:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; 801 Skyline Drive Searcy, AR. Bishop Daniel Brown will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks donations be placed towards kidney or cancer foundations in remembrance of Linda Rolf.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
