Nathan James Sexton, 27, of North Little Rock, passed away on August 29, 2023 while in Searcy, Arkansas. He was born on a cold day, December 11, 1995 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in North Little Rock. He was a surprise considering he was supposed to be a girl.
Nate, as he was fondly called, was a special treasure. He was the kindest soul and had a tender heart. Nathan was generous to family and friends with his time. To know him, was to love him. His great smile was infectious, and he laughed just like his dad. Nate didn’t do traditional work, but he worked hard at what he did. Nathan loved every animal he met.
Nate was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Linda Woodward and Clyde Towns. He leaves behind his mother, Patricia (Patty) Sexton of Sherwood; father, Darren Sexton of Niagara, Wisconsin; sister, Luca (Taylor) Sexton of North Little Rock; aunts, Darlene Rains of Sherwood and Suzanne Bullard (Tim) of Maumelle; cousin Carson of Maumelle; and a grandmother, Marlene Towns of Niagara, Wisconsin. Nathan also leaves his longtime girlfriend Elizabeth (Annie) Huffstickler of North Little Rock, as well as their menagerie of animals, Riley, Takeda, Pez, Killa Man, Zip Tie, Soot, and Thackery Binx. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as his great circle of friends.
There will be a celebration of life on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 6:00-9:00pm at US Pizza in Sherwood, Arkansas.
Memorials can be made in Nathan’s honor to Sherwood Animal Shelter or Hope Movement Coalition of Arkansas.
