Peter D. Welthy, age 84

Peter D. Welthy was born on April 19, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York to parents, Peter Welthy Sr., and Elizabeth (Betty) Harris.

Peter was an intellectual and artist.  He was a writer of poems, short stories and books.  He also dabbled in painting, sculpture and the writing of songs/music. He played the guitar, ukulele, flute and the Chromatic Harmonica.

He was very proficient at hand making custom English Style Longbows, and arrows. He even wrote a how-to book on it.  He collected guns and he loved hunting with both his bows and guns.

He enjoyed fishing and boating on his nearby White Oak Lake in Arkansas.

He attended Saint John’s Episcopal Church in Camden, Arkansas. Where he was known for playing music for the congregation during some services.

He is survived by a daughter, Nora Welthy, and two grandchildren Nicholas and Selena.
