Randy Lynn Bivens, 63, of Jacksonville Arkansas, born on August 19th, 1960, passed away September 14th, 2023.
Randy was preceded in death by his maternal Grandparents John and Dovie McMullen, paternal Grandparents James ‘Barney’ and Fannie Mae Bivens, Parents Denver and Marcelle Bivens, brother Jim Bivens and sister-in-law Carolyn. Randy is survived by Wife of 35 years Vicki Pruett-Bivens, Daughter Melissa Keith and her husband Steven, Son Matthew Bivens, Grandson Sylas Bivens, Brother Johnny Bivens and wife Elsie, Brother Ronnie, several wonderful nieces and nephews, and loyal beagle Biscuit.
Randy attended Jacksonville High School and graduated class of 1979. Randy and Vicki met in 1986 and were wed shortly thereafter in February 1988. He worked for a number of years at Regal Ware before moving on to a long career at Sam’s Club, where he drove a forklift with the best of ‘em and met many wonderful folks along the way.
Ever the outdoors-man, Randy was almost always outside. When he could get the time, hunting and fishing with his buddies and son were at the top of his to-do list. In his day to day, Randy could be found feeding squirrels, watching birds, grilling in his self-made backyard “grill master station”, or simply taking it all in with his beloved gang of animals by his side.
A man who was many things to many people: loving husband, devoted father, baby brother, wonderful friend, PawPaw extraordinaire, the list goes on and on. Of all the titles he had, and all the ways he was known, he was kind above all else. Genuine kindness poured out of Randy, and to honor him please pour some kindness back out into the world.
Always in our hearts, love you forever.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 2:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
