Susan Ellen Perkins, age 69

Susan Ellen Perkins, 69, passed away on September 24, 2023, after a long battle with dementia and other physical issues. On September 30,1953, a precious baby girl, Susan Ellen Johnson was born to the late James Clark Johnson and Etta Marvel White-Johnson. She married Edward “Art” Perkins June 12, 1987. They were blessed to have been married for 36 years.

Susan graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1971. She changed her career goals in 1982 when she graduated Bee Jay’s Academy with a Electrology Degree and helped start a business as an electrologist. She added to that a degree as a licensed dermalogist in 1988 and purchased a hair removal machine for her business. She later added a degree as a clinical Electro pigmentologist in 1993. She then added a permanent cosmetics degree in 2004. She was a very talented and hard-working lady that enjoyed her work and helping people.

In 1994 she became a “country girl” when she and her husband Art built a home in Lonoke County and lived there till her death. She loved her horses, donkey, pet dogs, and her Cat.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Peggy Crawford.

Susan is survived by her Husband Art Perkins; her daughter Melissa (Rodney) Allen of Little Rock; her stepdaughter Kim (Brett) Ellis of Austin; her stepson Todd (Krystal) Perkins of Austin; several nieces and Nephews; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother Charles (Brinda) Johnson; and many other beloved family members and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Friday September 29, 2023, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the Chapel of A Natural State Funeral Service.
