Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

David Meloan, age 57

David Meloan was born in Independence, Missouri in August of 1966 to Lewis and Edna (Gade) Meloan. He passed away peacefully in his home in Cabot, Arkansas at the age of 57 on October 5, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his wife Tammy; his father Lewis; and his brother D’Artagnon (Dart).

He was a loving husband, brother, son, and uncle. David graduated from Wm. Chrisman High School in Independence in 1984 and went on to attend DeVry University where he graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Technology. He took his first job in Fort Rucker, Alabama at the USA Army Base from 1988 to March of 1989 where he worked on a helicopter simulator. Then he moved on to work for CAE USA Inc. at the Dyess Air Force Base March 1989 in Abilene, Texas where he worked on an airplane simulator. When the simulator had to be moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, David and another employee broke it down and put it back together in Little Rock. He stayed there and continued working at the Little Rock Air Force Base until his wife had a stroke. David then retired on December 24, 2021 to stay home and take care of his wife.

When Tammy was still able to get around, they attended the Austin Station Baptist Church in Arkansas where Pastor Winford (Win) held services.

David was a kid at heart and loved buying cute gifts for Tammy to cheer her up. He was friends with a family close by where he walked his dog and always had little gifts with him for their children. They always looked forward to his visits. David loved fireworks and enjoyed shooting them off on July 4th with his friends.

David will be missed by all who knew him.
