Robert E. Felder was born in Atmore, Alabama and raised in McKinnon and Walnut Hill Florida. He resided in Lonoke, AR as a young adult.

Robert was a joy to be around, he loved people and was easy to love. He had a nickname for everyone he cared about which was funny to us because the nicknames he had given people were so intuitive. He even had his own way of communicating as well. He would say things like, “you must be having a flashback” or “I’m hungrier than a Japanese hog” or “It’s already gonna be alright” or “you must’ve bumped your head” or the infamous “I’m full as a tick”.  He made you feel welcome anytime you were around him. He had an energy about him that was so powerful that he will be impossible to forget.

He was a gentle giant, a father to the fatherless, nonjudgmental listener, and he was one of a kind. He loved grilling, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He used to call himself the “Master” of spades and dominoes and backed it up. Robert loved music, he played the guitar, drums, and the organ. His favorite hobbies were fishing and hunting. Robert was and will always be an unforgettable soul.  He will always be with us always and forever. Most of all he was a faithful believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Robert gave his life to Christ many years ago. He has been a faithful member of Faith Christian Center for over 20 years.

Robert leaves to mourn in his passing, the love of his life, wife of 46 years Early “Ella” Mae Felder, children: Lamar Thames (Tracy) of Walnut Hill, FL; Carmen Kendle of Jacksonville, AR; Monique (Andew) Felder-Alexander of Sherwood, AR; adopted daughter Whitney Starks (Larry) of Bauxite, AR; and Crystal Ephriam of Pensacola, FL. His siblings: Robert Banks of Hartford, CT; John Ervin of Atmore, Ala.; Labarron Ervin of Atmore, Ala.; Vince Ervin of Atmore Ala.; Fannie Ervin Dortch of Atmore, Ala; Evelyn Glover of Ladson, SC.; and Richard “Phatback” Johnson of Little Rock, AR. Special auntie Emma Thomas (Clifford) of McCullough, Ala.

He leaves to cherish his memory, nine grandchildren: Cortnee, Cameron, Daiquan (Immanuel), Brittany, Desirae, Nihvea, Arianna, Adrianne and LaTressa. He also had a host of great grandkids, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that would cherish his memory forever.
