Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Gregory Clinton Rettig, age 61

“What are you doing with Jesus today?”

Gregory Clinton Rettig , age 61 ,went home to be with the Lord on November 24, 2023

Greg was born in Beebe, Arkansas on March 3, 1962, to Roy & Faye Rettig.

Greg and his wife, Janet, were volunteer missionaries to Romania twice & he stood on the top of the alps in Switzerland and was quoted to have said “it was almost as beautiful as Janet!” his wife; as he took in God’s masterpiece.

He did his best to take everyone he met to heaven with him till his last breath by opening the conversation with “What are you doing with Jesus today?” He never tired of hearing the answers that he received, and he always followed up with his own testimony of what he was doing with Jesus today.

He was honored to hold the record for shot put for 20 plus years in Beebe, Arkansas. Greg enjoyed fishing, hunting, gun smithing, computer technology, reloading, and being a machinist, but most of all spending time with his family; especially his babe of 42 years, who loves him beyond measure & will miss him more than words could ever describe.

After graduating from Beebe High School, he attended Foothills Vocational School, Searcy Arkansas, earning a degree as a Machinist.

He worked at F & H, Southern Screw, EB, Vickers, and Eaton which he retired from as a machinist, he enjoyed it so much that he continued it as a hobby until he went to be with the Lord.

He has left behind his devoted wife of 42 years, Janet, 2 daughters Shawna (Jeremy “my boy”) Clark, Bethany (Kayla) King, and Grandchildren, “My Youngin’s” Kadence Mae and Gregory Dillion Clark.  2 Sisters Ruby Wiggs (Wendell Deceased) and Pearline Arthur (Bob) and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his missed and loved Mother Faye, Father Roy Rettig, and older brother James Roy who passed in infancy.

Celebration of life will be held at Cocklebur Baptist Church, 4138 Cocklebur Rd, Ward, AR  72176 on Saturday December 9, 2023, at 2 pm.
