Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Robert Louis “Louie” Wolfe, age 77

Robert Louis “Louie” Wolfe of Sherwood, Arkansas, died at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas on October 19, 2023.

Louie was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at St. Mary’s Hospital on March 7, 1946.  He was born to Frank and Martha Wolfe.  He attended North Little Rock High School. After High School, he joined the United States Marines and served during the Vietnam War.  During his service Louie was awarded the Purple Heart; National Defense Service Medal; Vietnamese Service Medal; Vietnamese Campaign Medal; Navy Unit Commendation; Marksman Badge M-14,  Good Conduct Mendal (First Award); Expert Badge, .45 Caliber Pistol.  After serving his country, he worked for Delta Airlines as a customer services agent based in Little Rock, Arkansas, retiring after 23 years of service.

Louie was a long-time member of Levy Baptist Church and a lifelong follower of Jesus Christ.

Louie met the love of his life, Denise Reinke in the summer of 1968.  She was introduced to Louie by his brother Joseph.  According to Denise, Louie’s brother Joseph had to pick her up because Denise’s mother would never approve of her dating Louie.  Excited to start their new life, they were married on September 11, 1970, in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  Six years into their marriage, their son Eric was born, the joy of their life.  In 2013, Louie and Denise welcomed the birth of their grandson Ethan.  Louie’s favorite role was becoming Ethan’s Papa.

Louie did not hunt or fish; he did not have any hobbies to mention, as he always put his family first by spending time with them always doing the things that were most important to them.

Louie is survived by his loving wife Denise of 53 years, his Son Eric Wolfe, and grandson Ethan Wolfe. Brothers Lt. Colonel Joseph V. (Candice) Wolfe of Cedar Park, Texas,  James (Victoria) Wolfe of Waxahachie, Texas; Ed (Mona) Wolfe of Clarksville, Arkansas; and Sister Velma (David) Lackey of North Little Rock, Arkansas, and several nieces and nephews.

Louie is preceded in death by his mother and father Martha and Frank Wolfe, and his sister Jackie Grubbs or Loxley, Alabama.
