Lanita Marie Bunch Woods passed away on December 7, 2023 at Baptist North Hospital at the age of 65. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on September 22, 1958 to the late Jack B. Bunch and Ruth Marie Fitzgerald Bunch.
Lanita grew up in North Little Rock. She began her formal education at Amboy Elementary school and graduated from North Little Rock High School.
Upon graduation, Lanita worked in Food Service at St. Vincent Infirmary, Doctor’s Hospital, and CHI St. Vincent’s. She retired in 2022.
Lanita was a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband of 31 years, Clifton Rodger Woods, Jr., Lanita leaves behind aunts, uncle, a host of cousins and many friends.
Lanita was a gentle, sweet person. She greeted everyone with a smile. She was passionate about the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Dallas Cowboys.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Baptist North, ICU, for the care and support they provided Lanita and her family. They also wish to extend a special thanks to the friends and former co-workers at Baptist North Food Service who supported the family with encouraging visits, food and drinks. Your kindness meant a lot to the family during this time.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 1:00pm at Corinth Cemetery in Sheridan, Arkansas.
