Marvin Lloyd Curry, 77, of Bauxite, Arkansas passed from his earthly home on December 14, 2023. He was born in Corning, Arkansas on November 11, 1946 to M.L. and Mary Marie Curry who have preceded him in death.
Mr. Curry is survived by Patricia Lynn Curry of the home, Matthew Aaron Curry of Mabelvale, Michael Jason Curry of Sherwood, and Jamie Kristin Curry of Mount Juliet, TN. He is also survived by granddaughters Kierstin Lynn Curry Lamb, Mallory Blake Curry Furton and Kennedy Malone Reynolds-Mook and siblings Barbara Sears, Renee Dunn and Sterling Curry.
He is preceded in death by his siblings Anna, Judy, Billie, Beverly, Phyllis, and Ronnie.
Mr. Curry spent his youth in Kalkaska, Michigan and graduated there in 1966 prior to being drafted into the U.S. Army in the Fall of 1966. He proudly served two tours in Vietnam as an aircraft mechanic and later as a Platoon Sargent. He received numerous medals, ribbons, and letters of commendations and merit.
He returned to Michigan after his tours of duty and in 1973 came back to Arkansas with his family. He worked several jobs; however, he spent his later working years at the Arkansas Highway Department and retire from there in 2004.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 10:30am with a funeral service starting at 11:30am in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Burial to follow at Arkansas State Veteran’s Cemetery in North Little Rock.
