Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Ruby Jean Wilkerson-Posadas, age 82

Ruby Jean Wilkerson-Posadas went to be with our Lord December 10th. She was born in Little Rock, AR on December 31, 1940. She grew up on a dairy farm in Ferndale, AR. Ruby spent a few years in Falfurrias TX, but lived most of her life in Pulaski and Saline County before moving to Cabot.

She worked as a clerk for many years, but also worked as a security guard, bookkeeper, and real estate agent. Ruby graduated from Joe T Robinson High School, and put herself through real estate school at night while raising two daughters. Ruby was an excellent cook, gardener, and animal lover, but mostly she will be remembered as a caretaker. She always had a way of putting others above her needs. She never thought of herself. She had a caring nature, and a forgiving heart. Ruby was a giving person by nature, but most generous with her heart. Ruby cherished her grandchildren. They were her world and brought her such joy.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Evie Lucille Roach; Step mother, Opal Wilkerson; and father, Wesley Wilkerson; three brothers Freddy, Tom, and Danny; three sisters, Peggy, Patsy, and Ann; 3 grandchildren, and one daughter Sandra Sue Brown. She is survived by one brother, Bob Wilkerson (Judy)of Little Rock, AR; one sister, Teresa Salinas (Manuel) of Emmet, AR and three daughters; Anita Cox of Hot Springs Village, AR, Katrina Holland (Brian) of Cabot, AR, and Billie Gardner-Robledo of Benton, AR; 10 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews whom she adored.

We would like to give a special thanks to her memory care nurse, Bonita Rodriguez, who made it possible for us to have the most beautiful goodbyes and comfort in knowing she cared for our Nana as her Nana.

We will honor Ruby’s wishes by having a Celebration of Life on December 23, 2023 at 1pm at 959 Augusta St., Cabot, AR 72023. All friends and family are welcome to attend this special celebration of Ruby’s life.
