Carrie Ann Winningham, age 60

Carrie Ann Winningham, age 60, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023. She was born in Porterville, California on March 4, 1963 to Calvin Junior Winningham and Carrie Darlene (Turner) Winningham.

Carrie is preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Darlene Winningham.

She leaves behind her father Calvin Winningham and his wife Frances Winningham; her daughter Lyndsie Sundvall; her life partner William Schlechtweg; step-sisters Bonnie Dillard, Beth Lane (Tim), and Diana Ross; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Carrie enjoyed attending Comic-Con Festivals and traveling with the love of her life, Bill. She had the most free-spirited personality. Bill could tell her they were going on the road, and she would put her shoes on and go anywhere with him. No matter where she traveled, she always liked to stop at different casinos, flea markets, and restaurants.

Carrie and Bill shared a love that lasted 43 years; even when they were separated. In 2014, Bill flew 1800 miles to Payette, Idaho to bring her home. It was her mother’s wish, and it was his too. It was time for her to come home. Bill was Carrie’s “Cowboy”, and he was the love of her life. When she fell sick, Carrie told Bill if she didn’t make it through this, that he better be looking for her at the gates of Heaven because she would be there waiting for him. Carrie went to be with the Lord on Christ’s birthday, and she no longer suffers. She will truly be missed dearly by those she held dear to her heart.

A memorial service will be held to honor Carrie on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 2:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
