Larry Powell, age 69, of North Little Rock passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born October 27, 1954 to Mary Ann and Hansel Powell.
Larry graduated from North Little Rock High School and worked in construction and engineering most of his life. Twenty-one of those years were spent at White County Memorial Medical Center.
He and his wife loved performing dances together. He entertained others through his love of music by being a DJ. Larry was a member of AA for 36 years and in good standing. Most of all, Larry loved his family and they spent many good times together.
He was a kind and loving man with a willingness to always help others. He always offered himself to others and volunteered his time. We never knew Larry to say an unkind word to anyone and he did not hold a grudge or pass judgment on others.
Larry survived many challenges in his life and because of his faith in God, he walked through tough roads with grace and dignity. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was an amazing father, friend, husband, and confidant.
Larry is preceded in death by his mother Mary Ann Powell, father Hansel Powell, sister Patsy Mosley, and brother James Powell.
He is survived by his brothers: Roger (Sandy) Powell and David (Lisa) Powell. His son Larry Wayne Powell Jr. (Amanda). His granddaughters: Kara Powell-Felton and Autumn Powell. His great grandson Kayden Powell. As well as nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, January 22, 2024 at 10:00 AM followed by service at 11:00 AM at A Natural State Funeral Service with burial at Union Hill Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
Arrangements have been entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service, 2026 West Main Street, Jacksonville, AR 72076 501-982-3400.

So saddened to learn of LarryWayne’s passing. I tried to locate him this year in hopes that he would attend the NLRHS 50-year class reunion…would have been fun to reminisce about those childhood days on Melrose Circle, Woodrow Wilson, and Fourth Street. All fond memories. Rest in peace, dear friend.
Prayers of comfort for family & friends 🙏🏼 So sorry for your loss.
