She is survived by her brother, Johnny Hartsell and wife, Laura.  Her brother Jesse Hartsell.  Her son-in-law, Jimmy Jones.  Her daughter-in-law, Shelly Speight.  Her grandchildren: Lee and Heathur Jones, Blair and Karla Jones, Martin and Tiffany Jones-Sledge, Drake and Laura Evans, Paige Evans, Todd and Devan Evans, Ransom and Jennifer (Speight) Eaton, Montana and Jacki Speight, Cody and Leslie Speight.  Her great-grandchildren: Tori and Jack Evans, Asher and Addy Eaton, Raeleigh, Jake, Kambri, and Jackson Speight, Liam, Cohen, Avah, Elon, and a new baby Speight coming. Louise attended the Hickory Plains Methodist Church and loved being a part of the Women’s Drop Ins!  She enjoyed doing things in her home and tending to her plants and flowers inside and out.  She was known for her gentle ways with plants and could start Roses of Sharon by clipping limbs off of bushes and sticking them into the ground to root.  She also enjoyed reading.  She loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and never let them go home without a little ‘care package’.

Louise was able to spend 93 years very independently.  Her final two years were spent at her home with the love and help from Chela Chavez, and her final year in the home and care of Cody and Leslie Speight and family.  For the love and care that she received, her family is very grateful and appreciative, and prays for God’s blessings on the hands that cared for her.

The family will have a memorial service at the Hickory Plains Community Church (former Hickory Plains Methodist) on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 2:00.
