Louise T. Cooper, sadly passed away in Little Rock, AR, On December 19, 2023. She was born on June 12, 1937, in Magnolia, AR. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Cooper and her son Ivan Douglas Cooper; parents, Ollie Jones and Daisy Thomas; siblings, Othelus Jones, Wallace Jones, W.C. Jones, Lillie Mae Grimmett, Annie M. Paschal and Mary Blanchard Franks. She has one surviving sibling, James E. Huggins of Magnolia, AR. 2 daughters Jo Ann Smith Nash of Little Rock, AR. Ira Regina Bennett (David) of Eagle Lake, Texas. 2 grandchildren, Wesley B. Bennett (Amelia), Adrian Latonya Parker (Eric); 1 great-grandchild, Azeriqa Parker.
Louise met the love of her life, Ivan Cooper, when she entered Cooper Brother Grocery Store, to pick up a snack to eat on her way to work in the field. As owner of the grocery store, Ivan quickly said, “no charge,” for her snack. Less than a year later, they were married on August 31, 1952. 3 years later they had their first child. 2 more babies followed. Their 3 children were their pride and joy.
Louise became one of Jehovahʼs Witnesses in 1965. She attended Magnolia Kingdom Hall of Jehovahʼs Witnesses, where she served as the Congregation Magazine Servant and Book and Bible Study Conductor for several years and spent her time volunteering her time in her ministry, discussing the Bible with others.
Louise was a hard worker and great cook. She catered weddings and events. She had a meat smoking business and she and her husband owned a cafe In Magnolia, serving the best chili dogs and hamburgers in town. She also assisted her husband in his grocery store business. Louise was Arkansas Top Avon Sales Representative for many years and received many awards. But her best job she performed was being a loving mother.
Memorial Service will be held in Little Rock, AR. at University Kingdom Hall of Jehovahʼs Witnesses at 9812 Colonel Glenn Rd. Little Rock, AR at 12:30 p.m. January 20, 2024. The Memorial Service will also be On Zoom Virtually.
