After graduating from Marvell High School, she attended Cosmetology School in Little Rock, AR where she received her license as a Beautician. She worked at salons in the Helena-W. Helena area for over 40 years before retiring.
Connie was a loving person who considered her customers not just clients, but friends. When she had the time, she enjoyed going to flea markets of all kinds and collecting items she thought unique. Connie was ready to offer her advice, wanted or not. That was the part of her love for others and what made others love her. She was “Nana” to many of her grandkids’ friends thoughout the years. Her greatest joy was doing things for her great grandchildren. Taking them to school activities or sporting events was her life. She especially loved watching her great grandson, Blane, play football. These activities brought such joy to her life the last few years.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dennis Bonner and Jack Bonner. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Hicks and her brother Monty Joe Bonner(Nita). As well as by her daughter Kim Woods, her grandaughter/daughter Brittany Smith and her grandsons Cooper Woods and Justin Wiggins. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Blane Smith, Colton Smith, Jaycee Claire Griffin, Urijiah Wiggins, Madi Wiggins and Layla Wiggins. Also by many nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are; Barbara Brock, Terri Jo Banks, representing her mother, Frances Schell, Melinda Wilson, Carolyn Leslie, Nellie Hopper & Kym Burgess.
A memorial service will be held at Marvell Baptist Church in Marvell, AR at a later date.
The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Connie Cooper Memorial Fund to help cover funeral costs. Donations can be made at a Partner’s Bank or by check mailed to her sister, Nancy Hicks, at the below address. Nancy will ensure any donations mailed are deposited into the memorial account. 2855 N Deaver Circle, Fayetteville, AR 72703.

I was Connie’s client and friend for many years and admired her compassion for others and her strength in supporting her family with love and determination. I loved her and am grateful she was part of my life.
So sorry for your loss.
Connie was always a Special Neighbor to Our Family!
I’m so sorry for your loss. Such a kind lady.
GREAT OERSON
I moved back to Helena in 1992. For the first three years, I rarely got time with my kids – trying to restore a family business. My youngest and middle child were lucky. They had parents of friends that took over and helped. My middle child had Connie and Dora. When Dora moved, Connie did not miss a beat. We were good friends for many years. When she moved back from Fayetteville, we thought working with my Mom might present an easier job for her. I was lucky to get to tell her goodbye and thank her for all she had done for me and all she has meant to me. She will be greatly missed.
