Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

David Neal Files, age 66

David Neal Files, 66, of Little Rock, AR, passed away suddenly on February 3rd, 2024.

David was born on January 21st, 1958 to Neal and Grace in Fort Dodge, Iowa along with his siblings Sandy, Sharon, and Bob Files. In 1976 he enlisted in the U.S. Army at Fort Bliss, TX. In 1979 David changed specialties and became a Utility Helicopter Repairer. During his 5+ years, he received a Rifle: Marksman Badge, Good Conduct Metal, and an Aircraft Crewman Badge.

After David got out of the Army, his sister Sandy offered him to come stay with her in Little Rock, AR for a while. While living in Little Rock, he began going to Pine Grove Baptist Church where he served as a proud deacon for many years. Little did he know he would meet his wife Connie Files there. They were married on June 27, 1987 and on February 20, 1992 they were blessed with their only daughter Tiffany Ellen Files.

In 2012, he retired from Hawker Beechcraft but David was not one to just sit around and do nothing. He worked on anything mechanical and he was known to forge his own tools. He just recently finished building his own forge and was excited to start working with it. David was proceeded in death by Neal and Grace Files, and survived by his wife Connie Files, his daughter Tiffany Files, her boyfriend Nate, sister Sandy, sister Sharon, and brother Bob Files.

There will be a celebration of life for David at Pine Grove Baptist Church, 2504 East Dixon Road Sweet Home, AR 72206 on Friday, February 9th, 2024 at 2:00pm.
