James Thomas Gilmore, 72, of Conway, Arkansas passed away on February 9, 2024. He was born in Benton, Arkansas in 1951 to Morean and Tommy Gilmore.
He attended Benton Schools and graduated in 1971. He joined the United States Marine Corps and served from 1971-1974. He retired from Conway Precision Products in Conway, Arkansas.
James is preceded in death by his mother and father and two sisters Billie Wallis and Christina Talley.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Tonya, his daughter Lauren Strayer, son-in-law Michael Strayer and two grandchildren Richard and Hartley.

I knew Tom years ago.I lived on River St and he would come visit his dad.He was a teenager. I thought him the other day. I am still in Benton. His dad “was like family. R.I.P
So sorry to hear of Jimmy’s passing, he was a good man.
As a child growing up in benton Jim would come over to the house to visit my parents and would spend some time with me out in the backyard and play then he left for some couple of years and came back,always had a good time and memories
