Jo Laverne Cox, age 78

Jo Laverne Cox, 78, of Sherwood passed away on February 15, 2024, in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  She was born on October 25, 1945, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Austin Kellet and Mildred Hensley-Kellett.

Jo loved a good cup of hot coffee, game shows, and her dogs, but most importantly she loved life. She loved her family and spending time with them. She will be missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband James Cox.

Jo leaves behind her children Robyn Cox-Summitt (Kenny Summitt), Kimberly Parker, and Noah Cox; her grandchildren Keith Parker (Kelli Roy), Kaitlin Parker (Teddy Jones), Amethyst Cox (Mark Waters), Caleb Cox, Xander Cox, and Maverick Cox; great-grandchildren Kaiden Parker, Konnor Parker, Waylon James Waters, Savannah Jones, and Kaylee Jones; her siblings Sandra Bejcek (Billy Bejcek) and Shelley Burgess (Dwayne Burgess), and many more extended family and friends.

Jo’s visitation will be held Tuesday February 20, 2024, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at A Natural State Funeral Service. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:00am in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service with interment to follow at Edgewood Memorial Park in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
