Rev. Thomas Earl Heffner, Sr., age 88, went to be with the Lord on February 25, 2024. He was born in Lonoke County on November 14, 1935.
He was preceded in death by his parents Odell and Earl Heffner; a brother Jimmy Heffner; a half-brother Gary Heffner.
He is survived by his wife Mary Dearman Heffner of 66 years; a son Tommy Heffner, Jr. and wife Sherry; two sisters Billie Johnson and Judy Williams and husband A.B. Red and a sister-in-law Irma Heffner; a brother-in-law Gary Cooper; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
He served in the Navy in the 1950’s. He retired from Remington Arms after working there for several years. He was a member of Old Austin Baptist Church. He pastored at Campground Union Church for several years. After that, he was blessed to form Christ Worship Center Church in Cabot for several years. He had to retire due to bad health. This is when the Lord led him and his family to Old Austin Baptist Church.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 10:00am with a funeral service starting at 11:00am at Old Austin Baptist Church in Austin, Arkansas.
