Dionisia G. Macrohon, 92, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 15, 2024. She was born February 19, 1932, in Zamboanga, Philippines.
Dionisia loved her job as a schoolteacher for second grade students in Zamboanga City where she retired after 30 years. She proudly became a U.S. Citizen in 2004. She also worked on Little Rock Air Force Base for over 10 years, making great friends during that time.
Dionisia especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would have fun no matter where she was and would bust out in song at the drop of a hat. She loved to travel, and has been all over America, meeting lots of beautiful people along the way. Dionisia brought joy to everyone around her.
Dionisia is survived by her husband of 70 years, Segundino Macrohon; children Jesus Macrohon, Aida Nacino, Walter Macrohon, Maria Laird, and Guillermo Macrohon.
She is also is survived by 17 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Jude’s the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville.
