Gene Sidney Biggs, age 69

Gene Sidney Biggs, 69, of Jacksonville, passed away on March 1, 2024. He was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on February 7, 1955 to Teddy Gene Biggs and Conyous Moore.

In addition to his parents, Gene was predeceased by his wife of 21 years, Darla Page Biggs and brothers Guy P Biggs and Thomas W Biggs.

He is survived by sisters Peggy B Rolfes of  Atlanta, GA, Janice B Hamzy (Shannon) and Judith Biggs of Little Rock, brother Rork P Biggs of Melbourne, FL, and his beloved dog Sissy.

Gene was a kind, loving, funny, generous and supportive husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved to sing, laugh, watch movies and enjoy a good cup of coffee. He helped many men in recovery over his working years , and up until his death. His happiest times were on the farm he built with his late wife where they enjoyed raising race horses, and giving loving homes to multiple rescued dogs and cats, as well as spending time over the years with kids and grandkids. He loved living in the country and enjoying a beautiful Arkansas sunset. He was greatly loved, and will be greatly missed.

    He will be missed by many and all that new him. Gene was a sweet and kind man and I was lucky to have worked for him for many years. You will be missed. Rest in Peace.
