Lecynthia “Cindy” Marie Clawson Thompson, age 62

Lecynthia “Cindy” Marie Clawson Thompson, 62, of Searcy, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 3, 2024. She was born August 19, 1961, in DeWitt, Arkansas, to William Andrew Clawson, Sr., and Annie Louise Shepherd Clawson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jimmy Clawson; and the father of her children, Michael Thompson

She is survived by her daughters, Megan (Dustin) Rudd of Spanish Fort, AL, and Mallory (Brad) Cole of Searcy; grandchildren, Braden (Jessica) Rudd of Little Rock; Chandler and Jordan Sullivan of Searcy; Kinlee, Garrett, and Madison Rudd of Spanish Fort, AL; Sakura and Darian Cole of Las Animas, Colorado; great-grandson, Henry Rudd of Little Rock; and she recently found out that she was going to have a new granddaughter, Aria Cole, in July. She is also survived by her brothers, William “Billy” (Mary) Clawson, Jr. of Nady, Nicky (Teesa) Clawson of Tichnor, Mark Clawson of Searcy, and Chris (Louise) Clawson of Gillett; her sisters, Evelyn (Dale) Clawson Worthen of Mansfield and Loretta (Tony) Clawson Berry of Gillett; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Cindy graduated from Gillett High School in 1979. She devoted most of her life to her two daughters and all their activities. She was a second mother to their friends and anyone else who needed her. In recent years, she spent her time loving on her grandchildren who she loved dearly.

Graveside visitation will be held Saturday, March 9, at Bonner Chapel Cemetery at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Tichnor, AR, at 11 AM with services and burial to follow.
