Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Owen Bivens, age 46

Owen Bivens, born on March 7th, 1977, left this world February 27, 2024 at 46 years of age. His departure leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a profound impact on those fortunate enough to have known him.

Owen is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Carolyn Bivens and his grandparents Carroll and Betty Owens of Bald Knob, Ar and Denver and Marcelle Bivens of Lonoke, Ar.  He is survived by his two sons, Brock and Sawyer Bivens of North Little Rock, Ar, his brother Mark Bivens of Floyd, Ar. and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Owen attended school in Beebe, Arkansas, where he spent his formative years. At Beebe High School he excelled academically and athletically. As a football player he earned the distinction of All-State honors. His passion for the game led him to Henderson State University, where he played for two seasons.

Owen was the devoted father of two sons, Brock and Sawyer Bivens and enjoyed attending their many sporting events.  In his leisure time, Owen loved fishing at his father’s cabin in Des Arc as well as hunting, camping, or perfecting his swing on the golf course.

Professionally, Owen most recently was employed at Custom Aircraft Cabinets in NLR, leaving a mark of excellence in his work. Prior to this, he contributed his talents to Conway Machine in Conway.

Owen attended church at Bethel Assembly of God in Jacksonville, Ar.  Always friendly and fun-loving, Owen was a testament to the values of love, integrity, and compassion. He leaves behind a multitude of cherished friends and family members that cared deeply for him.  Though he is no longer here among us, Owen will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

A celebration of Owen’s life will be held at the First Baptist Church in Beebe, AR (101 Hwy 64) on Sunday March 10 at 2:00 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Owen Edward Bivens Memorial Fund at First Security Bank. All donations will be applied to his son’s college fund.

Owen will be dearly missed and his memory forever cherished.
