Shirley Gehring, age 87

Shirley Gehring, age 87, of Wheatley, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024. She was born in Hilleman, Arkansas on February 1, 1937 to Leland K. Kinder and Velma (James) Kinder.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Paul Gehring Jr; two sons Ronnie Paul Gehring and Lonnie Paul Gehring; one brother Buddy Kinder; and three sisters Lois Williams, Lottia Martin, and Cova Ann Fraze.

She is survived by her son Randy Gehring and his wife Robin Gehring; five grandchildren Adam Gehring (Tiffany), Andrew Gehring (Cassie), Anna Gehring Moore (Will), Laura Gehring, and Sarah Provence (Mark); 8 great-grandchildren Britain Jones, Max Hinton, Swayzi Engram, Knox Provence, Reese Provence, Addison Gehring, Oliver Gehring, and Scarlett Gehring; one brother Jerry Kinder; two sisters Connie Sims and Linda Plummer; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Shirley was a Farmer’s Wife and co-owned Gehring Farms of Wheatley, Arkansas with her family. She was a talented artist and enjoyed oil painting, horse races, casinos, and traveling with her late husband, Paul.

A visitation will be held to honor Shirley’s life on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 1:00pm with a funeral service starting at 2:00pm at One Accord Baptist Church in Wheatley, Arkansas. Interment to follow at Posey Cemetery in Wheatley, Arkansas.
